Your Story
The Ellison Foundation's mission is to support nonprofit organizations that create sustainable benefits for the people they serve. If the work of your 501 (c) 3 organization aligns with the foundation's priorities we encourage you to submit a one-page proposal (via email attachment) for review.
Your one-page proposal should contain the following:
- Your organization’s name and contact information
- A brief overview of what your organization does
- A requested grant amount and how it would be used
There are no deadlines for submitting proposals. Proposals will be reviewed throughout the year and if there's interest from the foundation you will be contacted. Like most foundations, we're not able to pursue all requests due to funding limitations. However, we value and appreciate learning about your organization and your needs.

Start-Ups
The Ellison Foundation appreciates all that goes into starting new nonprofit organizations. We'd genuinely like to hear what new idea or strategy you'll bring to our community. If your organization has its 501 (c) 3 designation and has been operating less than 18 months, please provide the additional information in addition to the one-page proposal.
- Start date (or date you hope to begin operations)
- Annual budget
- Percentage of the budget that comes from private gifts
- Size of your board
